Congratulations to John Woodward & Alex Haliwell who using Speed Sails powered to victory, winning the first two races.

For the GPs it was Pete Jacques & Pete Tate.  Using Speed Sails they battled hard with Simon Potts and Ross Kearney coming out on top. Well done guys!

Pete Jacques has shown consistent pace throughout the Midland Bell Series.  He is leading with only two events left. Good luck for the next two events!

Speed Sails Test new Aero Web Mainsail at GP14 Welsh Champs

by Race Team 4. June 2010 20:05

The New Speed Aero Web Mainsail is being tested at the moment. we used the sail last weekend to see how it performs. The system allows us to align fibres with the loads in the sail. We can build a sail that will be lighter than a traditional sail, will distort less and have a longer racing life.

The guys could only manage to sail the first day of the GP14 Welsh Champs at Llandudno S.C. Using their new prototype Speed Aero Web Mainsail. They won the first race and looked set to repeat the result in the second but could not cope with the extra speed from the new mainsail and were OCS!
